Concord Police Department Press Release Re: Sofia Ann-Buitron Drotts Arrest

The Concord Police Department has arrested 26-year-old female Sofia Ann-Buitron Drotts (San Francisco) following an investigation into allegations of inappropriate sexual conduct involving a 17-year old- juvenile male.
The investigation began after the Concord Police Department received information from the Contra Costa County Probation Department regarding concerns that a female temporary employee at Contra Costa County Health had engaged in an inappropriate sexual relationship with the juvenile male in Concord. Detectives conducted an investigation and identified evidence supporting the allegations.
Based on the findings of the investigation, the suspect was arrested pursuant to a Ramey warrant and booked on related charges.

San Francisco Woman Charged with Seven Felonies Related to Sexual Acts with a Minor
Martinez, California – A former Behavioral Health Clinician in Contra Costa County is facing a seven-count felony complaint for sexual acts on a minor under her care.
Charges filed in Superior Court today by the Contra Costa District Attorney’s Office against 26-year-old Sofia Ann-Buitron Drotts of San Francisco center on the following:
Two counts of unlawful sexual intercourse
Two counts of oral copulation of a person under 18 years of age
One count of sexual penetration by a foreign object
Two counts of sending harmful matter to a minor
One count of possession of child or youth pornography
During her employment as a Behavioral Health Clinician at the John Davis Juvenile Detention Center in Martinez, Drotts is assigned John Doe as a client. After John Doe is released from detention, he and Drotts engage in a sexual relationship between April 1, 2026, and July 14, 2026. Information about the relationship arises after Concord Police Detectives receive a tip from a supervisor at the Probation Department. After a thorough investigation, Concord Police arrest Drotts on July 14th, and referred the case to the District Attorney about a week later for a charging decision.
Contra Costa Superior Court will set an arraignment date for Drotts, where she will hear the charges against her. If she enters a plea of not guilty, the next phase is to set a preliminary hearing of the evidence before the case can proceed to a trial.
Under our justice system, every person is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law. The fact that the defendant has been charged with a criminal offense is not evidence of guilt.
