A disturbing video captured by a local news station depicts a man exiting a car and launching a brazen attack on two older security guards on a San Francisco street, with one victim identified as a 78-year-old man, according to the San Francisco Police Department (SFPD).
The assault unfolded around 10:20 a.m. on Wednesday in the vicinity of Post Street and Kearny Street. The footage reveals the two victims standing on the street when the assailant emerges from a parked vehicle and approaches them.
In the video, the suspect allegedly initiates the attack by forcefully shoving one of the victims, causing him to stagger backward but remain on his feet. Following this, the suspect attempts to kick the man, albeit unsuccessfully, before redirecting his aggression toward the second victim.
Subsequently, the assailant allegedly pushes the other victim to the ground before swiftly retreating to his car and driving away. Fortunately, neither of the victims, aged 59 and 78, sustained injuries in the incident, as confirmed by the police.
Described as wearing a T-shirt and blue jeans, the suspect sported glasses and had his hair tied up in a bun. He was driving a silver sedan at the time of the assault.
SFPD has launched an investigation into the assault, categorizing it as an act of violence. Individuals with any pertinent information are urged to contact SFPD at (415) 575-4444 or submit a tip via text to TIP411, prefacing the message with “SFPD.”
