James Collins allegedly beating toddler in a Kroger parking lot gets confronted by Good Samaritan.
Video captured in the parking lot of a Lilburn, Georgia Kroger appears to show 44-year-old James Collins of Snellville repeatedly striking a 3-year-old and cursing. While one shopper filmed the violence, another was seen confronting him. Within days, he was identified by law enforcement, arrested and charged with cruelty to children in the first degree.

Media Release: Man Arrested After Online Video Showed Him Striking A Child
The Gwinnett County Police Department has arrested James Collins (44-year-old male, Snellville) after a video shared online showed him striking a three-year-old child.
Investigators were notified on August 10 about the video after it had been shared online several thousand times.
Detectives responded to the Kroger located at 3050 Five Forks Trickum Road and were able to obtain surveillance video that verified the incident.
Those detectives located Collins at his residence and placed him under arrest a short time later.
The child had minor injuries and is being cared for by family members.
The Department of Family and Child Services was also notified.
Collins was charged with cruelty to children in the first degree and is currently in the Gwinnett County Jail.
