Police say that Brandon Poulos shot seven San Antonio police officers involved in the incident the previous night.
According to the Comal County Sheriff’s Office, the department received a distress call from a man threatening to commit suicide on Tuesday, January 21, around 11:25 p.m.
Brandon Poulos claimed he wanted the call to be on record as his mother was trying to stop him. The department then received a second call from Poulos’ mother, who reported her son was very intoxicated, armed, and threatening suicide.
Over 30 calls with Poulos were conducted where he repeatedly stated he did not want law enforcement involved, stating, “I will shoot police if they approach me.”
