Donald Taylor, wanted in connection with multiple violent crimes over the past week, was fatally shot by Hollywood police during an armed encounter in Miramar over the weekend, authorities said.
The shooting occurred around 4 p.m. Sunday as officers were conducting surveillance near Southwest 61st Avenue and Southwest 19th Street, according to Hollywood Police.
Detectives said they spotted the suspect, 32-year-old Donald Taylor, who was armed and ignored repeated commands to surrender before officers opened fire.
Taylor was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
