California Highway Patrol Officer Brian Liles, 44, died Monday, September 28, after an on-duty motorcycle collision on Highway 99 near Tipton, according to the governor’s office. He suffered critical injuries and died at the scene despite lifesaving efforts.

Liles served with the CHP for more than 16 years. He began his career in San Jose and later served in Hayward and Fresno before transferring to the Visalia Area office in 2019.
He is survived by his wife, two children, parents and two sisters. Fugitive Watch extends its condolences to Officer Liles’s family, friends and fellow officers. Rest in peace.
