Graphic body cam video shows Covington police officer Ethan Livingood shoot, kill man.
Officials announced Wednesday that Covington police officer Ethan Livingood would not be charged after he shot and killed Garren Patty while responding to a report of a suspicious person. Body camera footage shows Patty run toward Livingood, appearing to swing. The officer falls to the ground and at one point yells, “He’s got my gun!” Livingood shot Patty multiple times. Patty was taken to UC Medical Center, where he later died.
