Critical Incident Video Release
Officer Involved Shooting on August 23, 2025
On the evening of Saturday, August 23, 2025, two Fresno Police Department officers assigned to S.W.A.T. were involved in an officer-involved shooting.
The Fresno Police Department has created a Critical Incident Video, which includes body-worn camera footage and other material.
The investigation into this critical incident is ongoing. There will be no additional comments made beyond the release of this video.
This critical incident is being fully investigated, and the findings will be handed over to the Fresno County District Attorney’s Office, Internal Affairs and the Office of Independent Review.
