Gilroy Police Department Press Release Re: Missing Persons Jose and Maria Dutra
****MISSING PERSONS****
Jose Dutra and Maria Dutra, left Seaside CA and on 08/30/23 together in their vehicle intending to visit Casa De Fruta located at 10021 Pacheco Pass Hwy. The couple never arrived and when their daughter contacted them on Maria’s cellphone they told her that they had stopped in a parking lot with a Target and a Jack in the Box restaurant but did not provide any further information. Their daughter last had phone contact with the couple at approximately 10:30 pm on 08/30/23.
Maria may be beginning to suffer from Dementia but has not been treated for it and Jose has diagnosed Dementia and is prescribed medication but it is believed that he does not have it with him.
The couple left in their 2011 light brown/gold Honda CRV SUV with CA license pate 6RWS841. The vehicle may have front end damage and may have been secured with silver duct-tape.
