NYPD Detective Allegedly Drove Kidnapping Victim to Crypto King John Woeltz Apartment

Police say two detectives were working off-duty as security for the kidnapping suspects, and one detective allegedly picked up the victim from the airport and drove him to the suspect's $ 75,000-a-month rented townhouse, where the victim was tied up and tortured for two weeks.

The New York Police Department reports that two NYPD detectives from Mayor Adams’ Security Detail have been placed on administrative leave in connection to the arrest of Crypto King John Woeltz’s kidnapping case.

Police say two detectives were working off-duty as security for the kidnapping suspects, and one detective allegedly picked up the victim from the airport and drove him to John Woeltz’s $ 75,000-a-month rented townhouse, where the victim was tied up and tortured for two weeks.

The victim eventually escaped and ran to a nearby NYPD traffic officer.

El Departamento de Policía de Nueva York informa que dos detectives del Departamento de Seguridad del Alcalde Adams fueron puestos en licencia administrativa en relación con el arresto del secuestro del criptorey John Woeltz.

La policía afirma que dos detectives trabajaban fuera de servicio como guardias de seguridad para los sospechosos del secuestro, y uno de ellos presuntamente recogió a la víctima en el aeropuerto y la llevó a la casa adosada de John Woeltz, alquilada por 75.000 dólares al mes, donde fue atada y torturada durante dos semanas.
