Police report they received a similar 911 call about Devin Thompson the previous day.
Phoenix police have released video from the officer-involved shooting of Devin Thompson. Officers were investigating a call of a suspect waving and pointing a gun at children when they spotted Thompson.
Thompson who was allegedly armed with a gun allegedly began running when he was shot by an officer.
