According to KTLA 5 News, Los Angeles lifeguards risked their lives to help police and sheriff’s deputies capture a fugitive who had fled into the Pacific Ocean after a 90-minute high-speed pursuit.
He was treading water for about an hour when the lifeguards moved in, took him into custody, and turned him over to deputies on a sheriff’s boat.
