Trump Ordered to Pay Millions to E. Jean Carroll for Sexual Assault Judgment
The New York Post reports that “A federal judge has cleared the way for writer E. Jean Carroll to collect more than $5.6 million awarded in her sexual abuse and defamation case against President Donald Trump. The funds had been held in a court escrow account since 2023 after a jury found Trump liable. Carroll accused Trump of sexually assaulting her in a Manhattan department store in 1996, while Trump has denied the allegations and continued to appeal the rulings. Trump is also challenging a separate $83 million defamation award granted to Carroll by another jury.”
