Santa Clara County District Attorney Jeff Rosen alleges that Suspect Martin Mendoza stabbed his girlfriend, 18-year-old Marissa DiNapoli, five times in her back.
Marissa’s body was discovered by her family last week near the Anderson River after they reported her missing to Morgan Hill police.
Some attendees of the news conference held by the district attorney said they could hear inmates in the nearby county jail shouting “Justice for Marissa!”
Police say that Martin Mendoza fled to Mexico and was arrested when he tried to re-enter the U.S.
