Early this morning, the body of 15-year-old Aaron Ramirez was recovered near the canal gates of the California Aqueduct, south of Sperry Avenue.
Family members searching along the canal discovered Aaron, who had been missing since Tuesday, when the vehicle he was riding in plunged into the water. His father died in the crash, but authorities initially did not realize Aaron had also been in the vehicle until speaking with the family.
Both relatives and officials had been searching the area throughout the week before his body was found.
