Phoenix Police Officer Shot in Ambush in Laveen.
A Phoenix police officer working an off-duty security assignment in Laveen was shot in an ambush. The officer was responding to a carjacking in progress when he was unexpectedly shot multiple times.
The officer was transported to a hospital in serious condition and the gunmen reportedly fled the scene.
