Metro police search for Nashville Attempted Rape suspect.
Nashville Metro Police are on the lookout for a suspect involved in an attempted rape incident in North Nashville.
The man allegedly targeted a woman as she was walking back to her residence in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The Special Victims Division detectives are actively seeking to identify the perpetrator who, on February 3rd, attempted to assault a woman in the 400 block of 11th Avenue North. The victim, making her way home at around 1:45 a.m., was suddenly attacked by the suspect who grabbed her from behind, forcibly pushed her to the ground, and tried to remove her clothing.
Fortunately, the victim fought back vigorously and raised alarm by screaming for help. The situation intensified as a witness located in a nearby parking garage intervened by shouting, prompting the suspect to flee the scene.
The suspect is described as a white male with short blonde hair, dressed in a flannel shirt and blue jeans.
