Police report that on July 26, 2025, a mass stabbing occurred at a Walmart in Garfield Township, near Traverse City, Michigan, resulting in 11 injuries. The suspect, identified as 42-year-old Bradford Gilly, stabbed five men and six women, including a Walmart employee, in what authorities describe as a random attack. The assailant used a folding knife, and several bystanders, including a former Marine, intervened to stop the attack. Gilly faces charges of terrorism and assault with intent to murder.
