Investigators are asking for the public’s help in identifying a robbery suspect who took the clothes off a security guard as he was robbing him, according to the Irving Police Department.

On March 1, 2024, around 9:45 a.m., a suspect got out of a black Malibu and held a Brinks security guard at gunpoint, police say. The suspect then unclothed the security guard from the waist down to “ensure the guard could not retaliate,” according to police.

The suspect, who is believed to be a white or Hispanic male, then got away with a large sum of money.

In a cell phone video captured by Eden Soto, you can see the suspect initially holding the security guard facing down on the ground. The suspect then starts tearing off the guard’s pants before they get stuck on his shoes. He eventually takes them off, leaving the guard in his underwear and socks.

In Irving, Texas, an alarming robbery unfolded in the early hours of Friday morning as a Brinks security guard encountered a harrowing situation at a parking lot adjacent to a Chase Bank ATM.

Captured on video by a bystander, the footage depicts the armed robber menacingly wielding a firearm, pointing it directly at the security guard who is compelled to lie prone on the ground near the exposed ATM. In a brazen act, the assailant even goes as far as forcibly removing the security guard’s pants.

The Irving Police Department disclosed that the audacious suspect successfully absconded with a substantial sum of money from the scene.

Reflecting on such a distressing scenario prompts one to contemplate their potential course of action if they were to witness such a robbery firsthand.
