El Mirage Police Department Press Release Re: Jeremy Preckel Shooting

To maintain transparency with our community, the El Mirage Police Department has released a Critical Incident Briefing video that includes audio, visuals, and information regarding an officer-involved shooting that occurred on Wednesday, October 8, 2025.
The Glendale Police Department, in conjunction with the West Valley Incident Response Team, is conducting a criminal investigation into this incident, which will be reviewed by the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office. It is also the subject of an administrative investigation.
Conclusions regarding whether the officers’ actions are consistent with department policy and law will not be reached until all facts are known and the investigation is complete.
