Critical Incident Video Release
Use of Force on August 20, 2025
On the evening of Wednesday, August 20, 2025, two Fresno Police Department officers assigned to our Patrol Division were involved in a Use of Force incident with a shooting suspect who was armed with a firearm.
The Fresno Police Department has created a Critical Incident Video, which includes body worn camera footage and other material.
The investigation into this Use of Force incident is ongoing. There will be no additional comments made beyond the release of this video.
This Use of Force incident is being fully investigated, and the findings will be handed over to the Internal Affairs Unit and the Office of Independent Review.
