Madera Police Investigating After Owner of Olivia’s Fine Jewelry Shoots at Robbers Caught on Camera

On 11/13/25 at approximately 1910 hours, officers were dispatched to a jewelry store in the 1100 block of Country Club Dr. regarding a robbery and shots fired.

Officers learned multiple suspects entered the business wearing all black clothing and masks. The suspects began breaking jewelry display counters, stealing high-value jewelry. The store owner retrieved a firearm and fired shots at the suspects as they fled the business.

The suspects entered a dark color sedan and fled the area. As of now, we do not believe anyone was struck by the gunfire. This is an active and ongoing investigation.

The Madera Police Department is actively investigating a smash-and-grab robbery at Olivia’s Fine Jewelry that occurred on the evening of Thursday, November 13, 2025, during which the store owner fired shots at the fleeing suspects.

Incident Details
Robbery: Multiple masked suspects entered the store on Country Club Drive, smashed display cases, and stole an estimated $170,000 worth of high-value jewelry.

Owner’s Actions: The owner retrieved a firearm and fired several shots at the suspects as they ran from the business.

No Injuries: Police do not believe anyone was struck by the gunfire, and no physical injuries to employees or customers in the store were reported.

Escape: The suspects fled in a dark-colored sedan, which authorities later recovered after it had been dumped outside the city limits.

Investigation Status
The investigation is ongoing, and police are working to identify and apprehend the individuals involved.

Authorities believe the robbery was a “sophisticated” and planned event, likely not the suspects’ first offense. The Madera Police Department is coordinating with other agencies and has urged the public to come forward with any information.
