The entire incident was recorded on CCTV.
An off-duty police officer in Merlo Argentina was walking alone on a sidewalk when two robbers rode up to him on a motorcycle and tried to rob him at gunpoint.
The young officer resisted by drawing his own gun and getting into a toe to toe shootout with the robbers.
Unfortunately, the robbers shot the officer several times before fleeing on the motorcycle.
The officer can be seen in the video taking off his belt and placing it on his arm as a tourniquet.
