Mexico honors Search and Rescue dog named “Proteo” after he was killed by falling debris while searching for victims alive or dead buried under collapsed buildings after the massive earthquakes in Turkey.
Mexico is one of the 100 countries to send search and rescue teams to help search for victims of the Turkey earthquakes.
Mexican authorities report that 90% of the buildings assigned to the 150 Army, Navy and Red Cross Mexican search and rescue teams with dogs, were totally collapsed.
Search and Rescue dog “Proteo” was credited with finding, 2 of the 4 people found alive and 29 bodies among the collapsed buildings.
