Michael Mendoza and Anita Quiroz Arrested by San Jose Police for Alleged Illegal Narcotics

Police also say they allegedly found a loaded unregistered handgun and approximately $28,000 in cash.

On June 26, 2025, San José Police Department Street Crimes Unit Officers located an occupied stolen vehicle in a parking lot in the 6100 block of San Ignacio Avenue. During an enforcement stop, Officers located an adult male and an adult female occupant who were both on probation. The suspects were identified as Michael Mendoza and Anita Quiroz.

During a probation search of the vehicle, Officers located a stolen disabled person parking placard, stolen documents, stolen credit cards, and illegal narcotics. Officers conducted a subsequent probational search of a hotel room associated to the suspects, where they located the following:

– 62 pounds of methamphetamine
– 2 pounds of heroin
– A loaded unregistered handgun
– Approximately $28,000 in cash
– Evidence of narcotics sales
– Burglary tools
– Evidence of identity theft documents

Both suspects were booked into Santa Clara County Main Jail for multiple crimes, including illegal narcotics sale and possession, firearm possession, stolen vehicle, and identity theft.
