In January 2024, three members of a Coon Rapids family — Shannon Patricia Jungwirth (42), her husband Mario Alberto Trejo Estrada (39), and their son Jorge Alexander Reyes-Jungwirth (20) — were killed inside their home during what police call a violent home invasion. Two young children were inside the house at the time and survived.

Surveillance footage shows Alonzo Mingo and two accomplices pulling up in a vehicle and two of them wearing clothing resembling UPS delivery uniforms. They carried a cardboard box to gain entry, appearing to pose as package delivery drivers.
⚖️ Sentencing of the Fake UPS Driver
Alonzo Pierre Mingo, 39, of Fridley — who posed as a UPS driver — was convicted on multiple murder charges related to the killings, including several counts of first-degree and second-degree murder.
In September 2025, a judge sentenced Mingo to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
Prosecutors showed video evidence that Mingo held victims at gunpoint, demanded money, and then fatally shot at least one of them.
🧑⚖️ Other Defendants
Two others who entered the home with Mingo — Demetrius and Omari Shumpert — have also been convicted or are scheduled for sentencing on related murder charges.
🧠 Community Impact
The case shocked the Coon Rapids area due to the deceptive disguise used to gain access and the fact that young children were present during the violent crime.
