SMASH-AND-GRAB ROBBERY INVESTIGATION
DATE: September 10, 2025
LOCATION: 1530 Block of Landess Avenue
CASE #: 25-253-095
On September 10, 2025, at 1:26 PM, officers responded to a smash-and-grab style robbery at a jewelry store near the 1530 block of Landess Avenue. It was reported that ten (10) to fifteen (15) suspects rushed into the business and attempted to steal jewelry. At the time of the incident, only the business owner and an employee were inside; no other customers were present.
During the incident, the owner discharged a legally owned firearm. No injuries have been reported at this time, and it does not appear that any jewelry was taken. The suspects fled the scene prior to police arrival and remain outstanding.
Detectives are actively investigating. This remains an ongoing investigation and additional details will be released as they become available.
