San Jose Police Department Press Release Re: Five Juvenile Suspects Arrested for Armed Robbery
On June 23, 2025, at approximately 8:54 PM, San José Police Department Patrol Officers responded to a report of an armed robbery and assault with a deadly weapon that occurred at a casino business located in the city of San José. Four (4) unidentified suspects attempted to take the victim’s bag against his will as he exited the business. One suspect brandished a firearm at the victim. The victim was then physically assaulted and struck with the firearm’s handle. The suspects took the victim’s personal belongings and approximately 2,000 dollars before fleeing the scene in a vehicle. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
San José Police Department Robbery Unit Detectives began a comprehensive investigation into the incident. During the course of the investigation, Detectives identified five (5) male juveniles as the primary suspects. Detectives obtained arrest warrants for the suspects as well as search warrants for their residences.
On September 3rd and 4th, 2025, Robbery Detectives, with the assistance of the SJPD Covert Response Unit and Livermore Police Department, located and apprehended all five juvenile suspects in the city of Livermore. Residential search warrants were executed and detectives located evidence connecting the suspects to the incident. The suspects were later booked into Juvenile Hall for crimes related to robbery, assault with a deadly weapon, and brandishing of a firearm.
