HPD has disclosed what appears to be the motive behind the tragic murders of a Manoa family, revealing that the alleged perpetrator attempted to obtain a firearm.
The Honolulu Department of the Medical Examiner has officially confirmed the cause of death and identified the victims of the murder-suicide that occurred on Sunday in the family’s residence.
According to reports, the Hawaii chiropractor Paris Oda, who took the lives of his wife and three children before ending his own, was under significant financial strain.
The Honolulu Medical Examiner’s office has stated that the 46-year-old father, Paris Oda, passed away due to stab wounds to the chest, with the manner of death being suicide.
Meanwhile, his wife, Naoko Oda, 48, originally from Japan, succumbed to multiple sharp force injuries, with her death ruled as a homicide.
