San Francisco Sheriff Miyamoto uses a Taser on an armed man after rubber bullets failed San Francisco police officers. Unfortunately, San Francisco police officers are not equipped tasers.

The sheriff said the suspect was carrying a pair of scissors and a large object resembling a crowbar.
San Francisco Sheriff’s Office Press Release
Tasers help deputies protect public safety without deadly force. #SFsheriff joined with #SFPD this morning on a foot pursuit that began at Sacramento and Polk Streets to apprehend a man who was acting erratically and armed with what appeared to be a knife. For more than a mile, SFPD officers tried deploying ERIWs (Extended Range Impact Weapon) and pepper spray to subdue the suspect, but it proved ineffective.
Sheriff Miyamoto was enroute to San Francisco County Jail, when he heard the incident unfolding on radio dispatch, and responded. At 6th and Clementina Streets, Sheriff Miyamoto first deployed his taser, striking the suspect, followed by Deputy B. Lau, whose taser also struck the suspect. The individual was taken into custody without further incident.
Authorities determined later that the object in the suspect’s hand was a pair of scissors without a handle.
