San Jose Police Arrest Four Suspects for Alleged Assault with a Deadly Weapon Near Dry Creek Road

Detectives are seeking the public’s assistance identifying the fifth male suspect.

SJPD Arrests Four Suspects for Assault with a Deadly Weapon On August 4, 2025, at approximately 11:04 PM, San José Police Department Patrol Officers responded to multiple reports of shots fired in the area of Dry Creek Road and Marques Avenue. Officers discovered that a group of five male suspects negligently discharged a firearm multiple times following a verbal altercation. Fortunately, no victims were injured during the incident. One unoccupied vehicle parked in the area was struck by a bullet. All five suspects fled the scene prior to police arrival.

San José Police Department Assaults Unit Detectives began a comprehensive investigation into the incident.

Detectives identified the primary shooter as a 17-year-old male juvenile.

Two additional male juveniles and Nathan Le were also identified as suspects.

Detectives obtained arrest warrants for four of the five suspects and search warrants for their associated residences. On November 4, 2025, Detectives discovered the 17-year-old juvenile suspect identified as the shooter was already in custody at Contra Costa County Juvenile Hall for an unrelated offense. The SJPD investigation was submitted to the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office awaiting a filing decision.

On November 5, 2025, with the assistance of the San José Police Department Covert Response Unit (CRU), Suspect Nathan Le and the additional two juvenile suspects were located and arrested in the city of San José. One of the juvenile suspects turned 18 years old at the time of the arrest, and was found to be in possession of an unserialized firearm. During the search of Suspect Le’s residence, Detectives located and recovered one unregistered firearm.

Suspect Le and the now 18 year old suspect were booked into Santa Clara County Main Jail for crimes related to conspiracy and firearm-related offenses. The fourth juvenile was booked into Santa Clara County Juvenile Hall for conspiracy.
