Location: A Federal Bureau of Prisons residential reentry center (halfway house) in San Antonio.
Circumstances: Farias was last accounted for around 6:25 p.m. on the day of his escape, shortly after receiving a visitor. He failed to report for subsequent inmate headcounts and was declared an escapee.
Criminal Background
Conviction: Farias was convicted in 2024 for conspiracy to transport illegal aliens.
Sentence: He was serving a 30-month prison sentence to be followed by three years of supervised release.
