Office of the Governor of Pennsylvania Statement

This afternoon, three law enforcement officers were killed in the line of duty in York County. Two more officers were shot and are currently in critical but stable condition, receiving treatment at WellSpan York Hospital, where I visited with their families today.

These officers represent the very best of us. They put their lives on the line to serve their community, their Commonwealth, and their country.

The prayers of 13 million Pennsylvanians are with the victims, their families, and the good people of York County on this devastating day — and all those who put on the uniform to keep our Commonwealth safe.
May the memories of the three fallen officers forever be a blessing.
